The Beaux Arts building that houses the Bowery Ballroom was completed a few weeks before the stock market crash of 1929. The Bowery Ballroom has earned its reputation as one of the most unique venues in the country. It features a midsize main hall and a cove-like downstairs lounge. The atmosphere of the Ballroom is grandeur targeted that never quite hits its architectural mark.

It is a top stopping off point for garage rockers, indie strummers, jam bands and various other groups on the fringe. But still, larger stars have also enjoyed playing here as to remind fans that they still have an 'edge'.

Her new album is titled, "Teenage Dream". The album cover artist is Mr Will Cotton, a lower east side artist whose work Ms Perry greatly admires.
