December 2008 - Late Night Dinners - The lower east side is not a large neighborhood

the levines of 97 orchard street, the lower east side tenement museum
and midtowners and upper east siders would be smart to get to know the dozen or so streets of this tightly packed neighborhood. Top notch after midnight dinners is very much the norm here. Here are a few of your best bets: ’Inoteca (Modern Italian), 98 Rivington Street, Katz's Deli, 205 E Houston (pastrami, hot dogs, soup, french fries, serves until 3 AM on the weekends), Paladar (spicy Mexican, Caribbean), 161 Ludlow Street, serves until 2 AM, Schiller's Liquor Bar, 131 Rivington (bistro, diner, tapas), serves dinner until 3 AM weekends.
Andy Warhol's Portrait in a Pool

November 2008 - We do think Andy Warhol would adore the fact that he continues to be an pop icon of hipster style long after his death. Here sits the latest homage to the New York-based international pop artist Warhol. Can you guess where this circa 2008-2009 portrait is located? Well for one you know it is on the lower east side of Manhattan, but do you know more? Click the photo for full details. Filed under: Andy Warhol Swims in a Rooftop Pool

A Speakeasy in Manhattan

December 2014: Chloe 81 has been called, "A Speakeasy for Our Time". Can't get enough of Boarwalk Empire, get on down to the lower east side of Manhattan and head down to the subterraneum restaurant, cafe, lounge known as Chloe 81.
Pale yellow subway tile, low lighting, secret rooms and clubby banquettes all smell "in crowd".
Contemporary drink choices will let you choose a drink with elderflower, champagne and ginger.
Bring your late night date here to impress with your knowledge of underground New York City!
