Il Laboratorio specializes in Italian-style gelato. This style has less butterfat and air than American ice cream. The result is a cleaner taste. As is the case in gelato shops in Italy, at the lab you can sample multiple varieties in a single cup. You may never have experienced lush marscapone flavor, if not, now is the time. Deep chocolate hazelnut is all the rage. Flavors are rotated, so be adventurous and open. Take out is in traditional ice-cream-style cups, larger portions are packaged for home as you see on the right.
