Epicerie Cafe Charbon restaurant is a French bistro on the lower east side. It is an endlessly fascinating place. It is a wonderfully re-created French bistro and grocery (epicerie in French translates into "Grocer" in English). Although this epicerie does not sell groceries as we think of them on the LES. This is a restaurant on one side in the "epicerie" style room and a bar on the other side.

The menu includes all the bistro items you could expect from a bistro style restaurant. You couldn't possibly think of leaving without ordering the steak frites, could you? Horrors!

Well if Ms Katy Perry doesn't melt your popsicle yet, wait until you see the album cover (or is it CD cover?) for her new album!

Ms Perry's new album is titled, "Teenage Dream". The album cover artist is Mr Will Cotton, a lower east side artist whose work Ms Perry greatly admires.
