Mark Israel is the owner of doughnut Plant who transformed the longstanding business from just another pastry shop making doughnuts to one of the top tourist food destinations in Manhattan. Mr Israel's grandfather was a baker and when Mark discovered his grandfather's old recipes, the magisc started. doughnut Plant makes two main types of doughnuts: yeast and cake. All doughnuts are transfat free, egg free, preservative free without artificial flavors.

Betcha didn't know -- the customer area of Doughnut Plant store is quite small but one of the design elements you can't help but notice are the doughnut inspired clay tiles that are laid out as part of the countertop design. Bet you did

not know the designer of these tiles is baker Mark Israel's Dad, Marvin. He is also the raku potter who designed the same style tiles used in their first satellite store -- the Doughnut Plant in South Korea.

Her new album is titled, "Teenage Dream". The album cover artist is Mr Will Cotton, a lower east side artist whose work Ms Perry greatly admires.
