Harry Zarin Fabrics, located at 72 Allen Street in the heart of Manhattan's lower east side neighborhood began its business there in 1936. Zarin's was not on the lower east side during the heydey of Eastern European immigration to America, but settled in to its Allen Street location as America's economy began to wake after the Great Depression. In recent years, Harry Zarin's has earned new fame as the workplace of the husband of one of the "Real Housewives of New York", Ms Jill Zarin.
